MAC Stylishly Yours: Style Curve

So I finally received Style Curve this week, one of the four lipstick shades currently available at www.maccosmetics.co.uk as a limited edition from the MAC Stylishly Yours collection that was releasedhere in the UK last week. Described by MAC as a "bright violet", Style Curve has been likened to Revenge Is Sweet Lipglass from last years MAC and Disney collaboration Venomous Villains with its cremesheen finish giving an added shine when applied.

Personally, I believe that Style Ciurve gives off a playful, sheer colour that leans towards a pinkier tone rather than violet. However to look at Style Curve and the infamous PRO colour Violetta side by side you would think you were seeing double. I can say that after having a play around with Style Curve there is a slight difference between the two when actually worn. Style Curve is literally the 'play it safe' version of the bold looking Violetta.

Final thoughts: If you already have Violetta or even Show Orchid, save your money! See swatches below.

Rihanna: The Scent Of A Reb'l Fleur

Following in the footsteps of her BFF Katy Perry who recently released her fragrance 'Purr', Bajan beauty Rihanna is set to unveil her first fragrance Reb'l Fleur [translation: Rebel Flower] next month. 

In a recent interview with People magazine, she explained the meaning behind the name Reb'l Flower saying: 'My grandmother in Barbados used to call me her Rebel Flower.' Rihanna also said that it took some time to create the scent that she wanted.

 Was there a typo? Rihanna, says there was no mistake in the spelling when she got this tattoo in 2010.

'Over the years, I layered many different scents to get something that was truly my own. 'But I wanted…something that said "Rihanna was here". Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory.'

The new fragrance will be available in stores at the beginning of February and will be sold for $49 for a 1.7oz bottle in the US. UK price to be announced soon.

By the look of both products there are no differences, even the packaging is similar, however the price is another thing.
